Scrumptious Saturdays: Morning Crème Brûlée

Today on Scrumptious Saturdays, we are busting out those ramekins and making us some yum yum Crème Brûlées! Now, we are going to add a little twist to the original vanilla Crème Brûlée with a hint of coffee (or anything you prefer)! 




. . . . . Ingrédients . . . . .
. 2 cup heavy cream (16 oz) .
 . 4 egg yolks (bonus at the end) .
 . 3/4 cup of sugar .
. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract .
. 1 tablespoon instant coffee (optional) .
additional items : water, fruit for garnish, and some pinches of sugar 

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Ingredients: Heavy cream, eggs, sugar, instant coffee, vanilla extract
Mix egg and sugar till smooth

In a small saucepan, warm up your heavy cream (do not boil)
Make instant coffee (1 tbsp)

Slowly, add & mix the cream, coffee, and vanilla extract into the egg-sugar mixture
Ladle or spoon cream into ramekins

Prepare water bath and bake for 35 to 45 minutes
Remove ramekins from water bath and let cool for 30 minute and refrigerate for 30 min

sprinkle pinches of sugar and caramelize it! Try berries for garnish! ENJOY!
