Scrumptious Saturday: Haven Gastropub

And speaking of lovely eateries  transformed into faraway destinations, this week's Scrumptious Saturday features Haven Gastropub in Orange (and Pasadena).

Walking into Haven Gastropub will instantly transport you from SoCal right into a real, charming British pub! No jet lag required.

gas·tro·pub noun. Brit. British term for a public house that specializes in serving high-quality food. Origin: 1990s. Blend of Gastronomy and pub.
Golden Road Hefeweizen

Inside, there's an entire wall covered in chalkboard next to the bar with dozens of different ales. It pairs wonderfully with their fresh-from-the-oven pub food. The tables are always bustling and the bar is always full of merriment.
Truffle Fries: pommes frites, house made sel gris truffle salt, garlic aioli
Mac n’ Cheese: black truffles, gruyere, fontina, parmesan
These dishes hardly scratch the surface of the menu. There is far too much to try -- but it's all highly recommendable! Until teleportation is doable, Haven Gastropub will certainly make you feel like you've walked into a quaint, London pub! All they are missing is the lovely British accent ;).

Whether you bring a special someone for light, pub conversation or throw back a few with a group of friends ... one thing's for sure...
this pub + dinner hybrid is a surefire taste-bud pleaser.

Here are a few of Haven Gastro's best-reviewed, unique dishes to try
if you ever find yourself in Orange or Pasadena:
